By proclaiming that this video is HD I'm inviting some extra scrutiny. Remember that shooting stuff in HD doesn't make every shot perfect. You will see what I mean from the low light footage of this video. What's so impressive about this video is that it was shot with a canon powershot still camera. The canon powershot sx1 shoots in 1080p, so this video has been downsized to YouTube's 720p. More HD videos will follow.

Spokane Lilac Festival Armed Forces Torchlight Parade

One of my classmates, Chloe Crittenden, was crowned lilac queen and was honored
on a float in the Spokane Lilac Festival Armed Forces Torchlight Parade. She appointed
our English teacher, Mrs. Wells, teacher of the year; who was honored on a seperate float.
This video follows the NWC section on the sideline of the parade.

I'm in the process of making a new video entitled Spring Break 2009-Southern California-Slide Show. It is a SLIDE SHOW, I did not shoot any video down there. This is because I didn't want to spend our whole vacation looking through a viewfinder. I wanted to enjoy the trip that I had the privilege to spend with my grandma.
I have faith that my commentary will not be missed, instead this will be the first Wiley Production to sport HD resolution!

Unsatisfied with my old dinosaurs, I decided to model them again. This time focusing on more anatomy and making sure they could run. I have already started animating....here is a single frame from a chase. You can compare these to the old ones below....Tell me what you think -Eric

Here is the final render of my ship scene. The background is composited together from photographs, but everything else I modelled myself. I'm not very satisfied with how it turned out, but this is only my second scene modelled in MAYA. Anyway, I have other projects to work on. I will hopefully have more to show when I'm in spokane for thanksgiving. -Eric

"Rigging" a Dinosaur

Hi Everyone, I thought I would show you one of my characters from projects class this year. This is a baby dinosaur for my animated short. I am in the process of rigging this character. (making the bones move the model realistically.) He can already open and close his eyes, move his legs and arms...etc. This model is also a work in progress and has not been textured.

Here are some facial expressions from my character so far.

Hey, Just thought I'd use this blog to show you all some of the artwork I'm currently working on. This first scene is a work in progress render of a shipwreck. Its an old 70's tugboat, shipwrecked on a tropical Island. I am going to texture the boat this weekend and add more foreground elements. I'll update in a few days, if I work on it.-Eric
